Audit & Accounts Senior - OxfordshireSalary: £35,000 - £45,000 + Attractive Benefits & BonusLocation: Oxfordshire - Hybrid (60% in-office)Employment: Full Time, permanent (37.5 hours per week; 7.5 hours per day, 5 hours between 8:30-17:00 with remaining hours flexible)

A fast-growing, independent accountancy and advisory firm is seeking an Audit & Accounts Senior to join their corporate team. This role provides excellent exposure to a variety of clients and sectors while offering development opportunities in technical accounting, audit, and leadership.

The RoleYou will prepare and review accounts, tax, and VAT work, as well as lead and support audits at client sites and remotely. Acting as a key point of contact, you'll work across varied sectors, providing compliance and advisory services while mentoring junior staff. The role combines technical accounting, client-facing responsibilities, and opportunities for progression in a supportive, growing firm.

Audit & Accounts Senior Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review client accounts, tax computations, and VAT returns
• Complete and supervise audits at client sites or remotely
• Support managers and partners in delivering compliance and advisory services
• Identify additional service opportunities and raise recommendations
• Provide coaching and supervision to trainees and junior staff
• Ensure work is completed efficiently, meeting deadlines and quality standards
• Participate in networking, business development, and client seminars

Audit & Accounts Senior Requirements:

• ACA or ACCA (fully or part-qualified) or AAT qualified
• Minimum 2 years' accounts experience in a practice environment
• Experience preparing accounts, tax computations, and conducting audits
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Knowledge of accounting software, including cloud-based systems such as Xero
• Valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (travel required for audits)
• Must live within commuting distance of Banbury
• Candidates from practice backgrounds are preferred; candidates with experience in academies, not-for-profits, or agriculture are also encouraged
