What You'll Be Doing
  • Take ownership of audit assignments from planning through fieldwork to completion
  • Prepare statutory accounts in accordance with professional standards and firm procedures
  • Perform analytical reviews of financial statements and identify audit-related issues
  • Supervise, train and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance and support
  • Prepare corporation tax computations and ensure compliance with current legislation
  • Manage assignments efficiently within budgets and deadlines
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted point of contact
  • Proactively interact with client management to gather information and resolve issues
  • Provide business and process improvement recommendations to clients
  • Conduct bookkeeping services and accounts preparation work

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified (or finalist)
  • Significant experience in statutory audit and accounts preparation
  • Experience within an accountancy practice environment
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting and auditing standards
  • Excellent management, analytical and communication skills
  • Leadership, training and mentoring capabilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Computer literate with accounting software experience
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
