Role Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality audit, accounting, and client advisory services
• Prepare and review client accounts, tax returns, and VAT-related work to the required standard
• Lead and complete audit assignments both on-site and remotely
• Support partners and managers on compliance and planning matters
• Identify opportunities for added-value services and proactively communicate them to clients
• Manage ad hoc assignments and technical client queries, particularly within corporate services
• Liaise directly with clients to collect information, resolve queries, and maintain strong professional relationships
• Assist with remuneration planning exercises and corporate tax planning
• Supervise and coach trainees, reviewing their work and supporting their development
• Use accounting software (including Xero) and firm systems efficiently, and stay up to date on technical developments
• Support marketing efforts such as client seminars and local networking events under the guidance of senior staff

Candidate Requirements

• ACA or ACCA qualified
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a UK accountancy practice
• Strong audit and accounts preparation knowledge
• Solid understanding of UK tax compliance (personal, corporate, and VAT)
• Confident using cloud-based accounting systems such as Xero
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking
• Skilled communicator who can build rapport and deliver advice with clarity
• Able to manage time, meet deadlines, and maintain high attention to detail
