Role responsibilities

• Leading and supervising audit assignments from planning through to completion
• Preparing and reviewing year-end accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders
• Acting as a key point of contact for clients, maintaining strong professional relationships
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members, reviewing their work and providing feedback
• Managing deadlines, budgets and workflow across multiple engagements
• Liaising with other departments to deliver a joined-up service across audit, accounts and tax
• Keeping up to date with technical standards and contributing to best practice

Candidate requirements

• ACA or ACCA qualified with a strong background in audit and accounts within practice
• Proven ability to manage audit assignments and review financial statements
• Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting and auditing standards
• Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach
• Ability to manage junior staff and work as part of a collaborative team
• Organised, motivated and confident in taking ownership of tasks
