In this crucial role, you'll be responsible for ensuring the accurate recording and monitoring of student attendance. You'll work closely with parents, students, and staff to identify and address attendance issues, helping to create a supportive and inclusive school environment where every child can thrive.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Monitoring and Recording: Accurately record and monitor student attendance daily, identifying absences and punctuality issues.
• Communication: Contact parents and guardians to ascertain reasons for student absences, maintaining clear and professional communication.
• Enforcement: Follow up on unexplained absences, working with families and school leadership to improve attendance rates.
• Record Keeping: Maintain detailed and up-to-date attendance records, ensuring compliance with school and local authority policies.
• Reporting: Generate attendance reports for senior leadership and other relevant stakeholders, highlighting trends and areas of concern.
• Support: Provide support to students and families facing attendance challenges, signposting to relevant internal and external support services when necessary.
• Liaison: Collaborate with teachers, pastoral staff, and external agencies to ensure a coordinated approach to improving student attendance.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a similar role within a school setting and be able to provide strong references. You should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a keen eye for detail, and a compassionate approach.
