The Company:

Our client is a successful wealth management company, highly recognised with a fantastic reputation.

The Role:

The Associate Investment Manager will aid 2 highly successful Investment Directors in building and maintaining Investment client portfolios, on a book size of 400-500 million.

This role will entail portfolio management and managing client relationships with intermediaries and direct private clients.

The Associate Investment Manager will receive centralised Investment guidance from the Wealth Management research team and will have autonomy in trading on client portfolios in line with asset allocation and suggest suitable Investments in accordance with the client’s needs. 

Identify any changes to client portfolios in accordance with any market or economic factors and will react accordingly by suggesting appropriate action. 

Attend client meetings & present pre-agreed propositions and house investment views ensuring that information given is up to date, clear and not misleading and meets the client’s needs.

Ensure that Client Correspondence and Investment Reporting is clear and not misleading, technically accurate and tailored to the client’s level of knowledge and understanding.

The Associate Investment Manager will Produce & distribute all client reporting ensuring that reports/packs are reviewed for accuracy and dispatched in a timely manner.

Work alongside the Investment Directors to manage client assets under instruction and provide advice in accordance with the investment process, adhering to approved investment lists and risk parameters.

Build and maintain model and bespoke portfolios ensuring that they are up to date at all times and reflect the in-house investment views.

The Associate Investment Manager will Implement portfolio changes following monthly investment committee meetings and write investment commentary, investment proposals.

The Candidate:

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar Trainee Investment Manager or Assistant Investment Manager role, with exposure to all aspects of client management and portfolio management.

Level 4 (IAD) qualified is essential and ideally working towards or having just obtained Level 7 (PCIAM) - this would be highly desired. 

Self-starter and an entrepreneurial mentality are essential. Keen to grow own client book of business longer term. 

Keeps abreast of developments in the financial services industry and has an up-to-date understanding of global economic indicators and how these drive markets

Strong interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships with different teams especially the Central Investment team.
