About the Firm

Our client is a leading full-service law firm with a strong market reputation in Asset Management, M&A, and Dispute Resolution & Investigations. They act for asset managers, listed and private companies, financial institutions, and other major enterprises on complex UK and cross-border transactions. The firm is known for delivering exceptional client service within a supportive, inclusive, and collaborative environment.

Department Overview

The Infrastructure Finance team is part of the wider market-leading Finance Group, advising sponsors and funders on UK and international infrastructure transactions.

Their experience spans acquisition financings, refinancings (including multi-creditor platforms), portfolio financings, Holdco financings, and—occasionally—project-level financings. Sectors include:

  • Energy (conventional, renewable, and energy infrastructure)
  • Digital and communications
  • Transport
  • Water and waste management
  • Oil and gas
  • Mining and minerals
  • Utilities
  • Social infrastructure

The team works across the full deal lifecycle, following clients into emerging and innovative sub-sectors as the definition of infrastructure evolves.

What Makes This Role Stand Out

  • Loyal, repeat client base including major infrastructure investors.
  • Fully integrated, cross-practice infrastructure group with no need to subcontract work.
  • Partner-led transactions with the right level of resource allocation.
  • Strong focus on career development with proactive upskilling.
  • Entrepreneurial environment offering real impact on the practice’s growth.
  • 1:1 business development coaching for all Finance Group associates.

The Role

Working closely with the Infrastructure Finance Partner, you will support the structuring, negotiation, and documentation of high-value infrastructure financing transactions. This is a strategic growth area for the Finance Group, offering an exciting opportunity for an ambitious associate to make a real impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate financing documents (term sheets, facility agreements, security documents, intercreditor agreements) for both borrowers and lenders.
  • Supervise and mentor junior associates, trainees, and paralegals.
  • Collaborate with other practice areas, particularly Infrastructure M&A.
  • Coordinate cross-border transactions with local counsel from the firm’s international network.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives and build industry relationships.
  • Manage matters efficiently, ensuring compliance with firm processes and budgets.

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified solicitor in a common law jurisdiction.
  • Strong academic record.
  • Experience in Infrastructure Finance, Project Finance, or Leveraged Finance with an interest in infrastructure.
  • Excellent drafting and commercial awareness.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Committed to the firm’s values and culture.

Additional Information

  • Full-time role with a collaborative working environment.
  • The firm will relocate to a new City of London office in early 2026.
  • Committed to diversity, inclusion, and providing adjustments for candidates where needed.
