Business Development Manager – Specialist Lending (Mid-Corporates)

Location: London, Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds, or Manchester

Salary: £60,000 – £87,000 DOE

Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Work Style: Hybrid (minimum 2 days per week in-office)

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen an experienced commercial banking professional to join a growing Asset Finance team as Business Development Manager (Associate Director), focusing on the Mid-Corporates segment (£25m–£100m turnover). This role sits within a rapidly expanding function that delivers critical cashflow and capital investment solutions to trading businesses across the UK.

Key Responsibilities of the Business Development Manager (Associate Director)

  • Originate and structure bespoke Asset Finance solutions for Mid-Corporate clients
  • Build strong relationships with clients, internal teams, and market introducers to generate high-quality deal flow
  • Lead credit structuring and negotiation to deliver commercially sound and client-centric outcomes
  • Act as a trusted advisor, offering market insight and financial expertise to support clients’ strategic investment and growth plans
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure smooth execution and ongoing client success

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in Mid-Corps lending, ideally within Asset Finance
  • Strong commercial acumen and a track record of structuring and delivering complex deals
  • Deep understanding of the UK Mid-Corporate market and its financing needs
  • Ability to build and manage influential stakeholder relationships internally and externally
  • Comfortable working autonomously and within a collaborative team environment
