Job Description :

We are seeking an Associate Director to elevate our dynamic Data Management Function.

In this crucial role, you'll partner closely with the Director of Data Management, focusing on crafting data strategies and embedding a data-driven culture across various sectors. Your mission includes bringing valued experience with implementing a range of data governance solutions, such as Master Data Management (MDM), data quality frameworks, and compliance protocols, across large-scale enterprises. You'll drive excellence throughout the data ecosystem, empowering our clients to fully integrate these practices, enhancing data literacy, and ensuring comprehensive adoption across all facets of their operations.

Responsibilities

  • Client Engagement and Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with our clients, understanding their needs and ensuring their strategic objectives are met through our solutions.
  • Project Leadership: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex data excellence projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest standards of quality.
  • Innovation and Solution Development: Lead the development of innovative data solutions that enhance client capabilities and drive competitive advantage.
  • Team Development and Talent Acquisition: Identify and develop talent within the team, creating opportunities for skills advancement and leadership growth.
  • Operational Excellence: Streamline operations to improve efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring alignment with business goals and client expectations.
  • Market Awareness and Strategic Adaptation: Stay informed of industry trends and market shifts to strategically align our services and solutions, ensuring we remain adaptive and proactive in a dynamic marketplace.
  • On-Site Engagement: Periodically visit client sites to foster and strengthen relationships, ensuring our commitment to partnership and collaborative success is clearly demonstrated.

  • Ability to inspire, lead, and manage a diverse team of data management specialists, fostering an environment that promotes professional growth and high performance.
  • Proven track record in large scale data transformation, either leading or executing initiatives across complex, multi departmental environments.
  • Demonstrated expertise in data architecture, data management, and business data modeling.
  • Practical experience with data governance, data quality, and metadata management tools like Informatica, Ab Initio, Collibra, Alation, or Ataccama.
  • Knowledgeable in data quality, metadata management, and data governance principles.
  • Strong leadership experience with a proven track record of guiding teams or functions.
  • Deep understanding of key organisational domains such as sales & marketing, finance, HR, risk and legal, and supply chain, including their unique challenges.
  • Engaged in pre-sales activities, educating clients on the importance of robust data management and articulating how it benefits the overall organisation with impactful, resonant points.
  • Ability to see the wider picture, zoom out, and understand the collective ask.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and a strong drive for success
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to form relationships and drive business growth.

Nice to Have:

  • Prior experience in a consultancy setting, demonstrating the ability to navigate the unique challenges and dynamics of consulting with various clients and industries.
  • Regulatory and compliance experience such as data protection laws and regulations
  • Full lifecycle implementation: Experience in the full lifecycle implementation of data management tools such as Collibra, Ataccama etc, from initial planning and configuration through to deployment and user training
  • Other professional qualifications in the data governance field
  • Ability to develop and deliver training programmes to ensure end consumers can both leverage and thrive across tools implemented.
  • Ability to represent the company at industry conferences, seminars, and panels, contributing to the broader community and enhancing the firm's visibility and reputation.
