My client is a global hedge fund looking to hire a Data Scientist. This is an exciting opportunity to apply cutting-edge data science and machine learning techniques to some of the most complex challenges in credit investing.

You will work hand-in-hand withportfolio managers, traders, and risk managers, building models and insights that directly influence investment decisions. From developing credit risk models to designing forecasting tools and advanced analytics dashboards, your work will have a direct and measurable impact.

This position would focus on developing and enhancing of models used for evaluation of investment opportunities.

The successful candidate will leverage a range of techniques from data science and machine learning.

The key areas of focus are developing and enhancing data-driven models from scratch for structured transaction evaluations

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a data-driven framework for deal origination analytics.
• Work with the deal team to use data & quantitative techniques to evaluate credit fundamentals.
• Work on generative AI initiatives within the firm.

Qualifications:

• Master’s or PhD in a STEM field from a top-tier university.
• Experience building models from scratch
• A deep understanding of probability, statistics, and predictive modelling.
• Expertise in Python, in particular numpy, pandas, sklearn, scipy, statsmodels.
• Experience in financial or econometric modelling and generative AI
