Assistant SENCO - Cloudstone Education : Job Details

Cloudstone Education are recruiting for an enthusiastic Assistant SENCO to join a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) team at a School base in Bromley. Working closely with the SENCO, you will support the development and implementation of strategies to meet the diverse needs of students, promoting inclusivity and ensuring every child receives the support they require to succeed.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the SENCO to assess and identify the specific needs of students with SEND
• Assist in the development and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and provision maps
• Work closely with teachers, support staff, and external agencies to implement tailored interventions and support strategies
• Support the monitoring and tracking of student progress, providing regular updates to the SENCO and relevant stakeholders
• Contribute to the creation of a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported

Requirements:

• Experience working with students with SEND in an educational setting
• Understanding of relevant legislation and best practices in SEND provision
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Relevant qualifications or training in SEND (desirable but not essential)
