Assistant Quantity Surveyor (Civil/Progression)

Gloucester, 5-day weeks

£40,000 to £50,000 + Life Insurance + Benefits Package + Day Trips + Progression

Are you an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or similar with a background in the Civils/Construction Sector or a related field, looking to join a leading environmental engineering company with over 20 years of experience in redeveloping underused land and urban regeneration.

On offer is the opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or similar to work alongside a range of experienced senior surveyors assisting with financial and contractual management of civil engineering projects from start to finish.

In the role you will assist with the drafting of financial estimates and documents and including the preparation of evaluations, reports and forecasts. As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will attend site meetings whilst also meeting clients and contractors to manage projects and ensure budgets are maintained. This position will also include assessing variations and claims towards the final accounts.

This role is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or graduate to progress their career through specialised training and firsthand experience assisting experienced Quantity Surveyors. This role will suit a graduate with a degree or high national diploma in Quantity Surveying. This role will suit someone with strong communication and analytical skills, with a preferable background in civil or construction. The role will also preferably suit someone with that has a strong familiarity with construction contracts and Microsoft office, who has a full UK driving license.

The Person:

• Degree of Higher National Diploma in Quantity Surveying
• Strong Communication and Analytical skills
• Preferably experience in Civil or Construction
