REPORTING TO: Project/Contracts Manager
Purpose of Role
As an Assistant Project Manager, you will work closely with the Project/Contracts Manager to help oversee projects from the initial planning stages through to completion. You will assist in ensuring the project team delivers work on time and within budget, all while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Project/Contracts Manager in developing and updating the construction schedule to meet crucial project milestones.
Assist in determining staffing requirements for the project and ensure clear communication with the team.
Help implement the company's safety procedures and cultivate a strong safety-first culture on site.
Aid in the management of project quality throughout the project lifecycle to ensure the standard of work meets expectations.
Support the financial management of the project by helping to control preliminary costs and subcontract packages.
Collaborate with the commercial team to assist in achieving the agreed commercial objectives for the project.
Maintain positive relationships with the client team and help to keep them informed about any claims or delays.
Candidate Profile
A university-level qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
A minimum of three years of experience in the construction industry.
A proven ability to assist with the planning and delivery of complex projects.
Strong numerical and report-writing skills.
The ability to build and maintain effective relationships with all project stakeholders.
An understanding of commercial realities and the ability to propose cost-effective solutions.
IT literate and familiar with Microsoft Office and project scheduling software (such as MS Project or similar).
Remuneration
We offer up to €70k and an international package that includes a basic salary, pension and life assurance, private healthcare, and a car allowance or company vehicle.
