Assistant ManagerLocation: South BristolSalary: £28,136 per annumHours: Full-Time | Monday to Friday (Rotational Shifts)Early Shift: 7:45am - 4:15pmLate Shift: 9:45am - 6:15pmWeekend Work: One weekend per month (with time off in lieu)Saturday: 8:00am - 5:00pmSunday: 10:00am - 4:00pmAbout the RoleWe are seeking a motivated Assistant Manager to support the day-to-day operations and performance of a busy customer-focused site in South Bristol. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys a mix of sales, operations, and people management.You'll play a key part in ensuring a high standard of customer service, supporting team members, and helping to drive revenue and performance across the site.Main DutiesContribute to achieving financial targets by identifying revenue growth opportunities and increasing site occupancyProvide an outstanding customer experience by responding effectively to a range of customer needsSupport the Store Manager in daily operations and take full responsibility in their absence, including reporting and financial oversightMaximise every sales opportunity by promoting services to new and existing customers in person and over the phoneMaintain high standards of site presentation, cleanliness, and Health & Safety complianceAssist in training, supporting, and motivating team members to ensure operational excellenceEnsure all administrative tasks and compliance procedures are completed accurately and in a timely mannerMonitor and report maintenance and repair needs, ensuring swift resolutionLead local marketing initiatives and ensure they are carried out effectivelyManage and reduce bad debt by implementing and following appropriate control proceduresRaise operational concerns or development needs to the Regional Manager or Store Manager as necessaryContribute to strategic planning of space and layout, using internal reports to support improvement suggestionsSkills RequiredTo succeed in this role, you should demonstrate:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong customer service focus, with the ability to handle diverse customer needs confidentlyA detail-oriented and disciplined approach to procedures and complianceA hands-on, can-do attitude and ability to work independently or as part of a small teamConfidence in taking ownership and accountability, especially in the absence of a Store ManagerAn ability to lead by example and positively influence colleaguesFamiliarity with working toward targets and KPIsComfortable using internal systems and reports to monitor performance and make informed decisionsIf you're ready to step into a leadership role where your input truly matters-and you thrive in a customer-focused, commercial environment-we'd love to hear from you.To apply or learn more, contact:
