We are seeking an Assistant Manager to join the Accounts & Tax Department of a vibrant, specialist music and entertainment accountancy practice in Central London. This role is ideal for a Qualified Senior Accountant or Assistant Manager who is looking to advance their career in a dynamic environment. The position offers excellent flexibility, allowing for up to 4 days of remote work per week.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Manage a portfolio of corporate clients ensuring compliance with all statutory filing deadlines.
- Handle a portfolio of personal tax clients including partnership accounts, sole trades, rental accounts, and personal tax returns.
- Liaise with auditors on the largest clients to ensure smooth progress of jobs.
- Assist senior management in the preparation of financial statements and personal tax returns for major clients.
- Engage in tax planning and respond to ad hoc client queries.
- Correspond with HMRC and Companies House on various matters.
- Assist with company secretarial matters, P11ds, and dividends for clients.
- Review monthly management accounts.
- Manage and support the development of 2 junior/part-qualified staff.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- ACA/ACCA Qualified with at least 2 years post-qualification experience.
- Strong IT skills, ideally with proficiency in Xero and CCH.
- Driven and enthusiastic with a proactive approach.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of effectively managing client and team communications.
