Alexander Daniels are recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant for a business based in Walsall. This role offers an opportunity for you to take on a role that is rounded with a variation of tasks. The successful candidate must have previous experience in a similar role. This is an initial 6 month FTC on a hybrid basis.
- Support the Management Accountant in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Processing accruals, prepayments, depreciation and monthly & year end journals
- Maintaining sales and purchase ledgers, including postings and account reconciliations
- Reporting on debtors and creditors and delivering and dealing with invoice queries/disputes
- Completing Balance sheet, Control Accounts, Bank & Company Credit Cards reconciliations on monthly basis
- Processing of credit card statements and employee expenses.
- Reviewing & Submitting VAT and annual returns, reconciling to the accounting system
- Assisting the line manager in all areas within the Finance Function
- Producing timely and accurate financial reports as required
- Preparing balance sheet reconciliations
- Assisting with preparation of weekly, monthly and annual accounts
- Assisting in the preparation of franchise invoices and statements
- Responding to Franchisee queries
- Preparation and entry of journals, including accruals and prepayments
- Participate in team meetings.
- Always focused on improving finance ways of working.
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Business partnering with BDM's and Franchisees
Essential requirements:
- Studying a professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Excellent Excel skills
- Previous experience in a similar role (1-2 years)
