Assistant Management Accountant - The One Group : Job Details

A successful and growing organisation in the heart of Basildon are looking for a Management Accountant to join them due to growth. This is a lovely opportunity for someone who is currently an Assistant Management Accountant studying towards ACCA or CIMA and looking for a role you can grow into and develop.Duties will include

• Managing annual budgeting process and preparation / refinement of budget model.
• Short term forecasting (e,g, next quarter / budget re-forecasts).
• Linkage of sales 'booked' by sales team to revenue recognised in the P&L.
• Preparation and presentation of management information for inclusion in the group management accounts / board packs. This will involve working with the team to develop insightful business reporting and KPI's across the Group.
• Analysis and evolution of margins by income stream / customer. Identification and demonstration of areas where margins could be enhanced and working with the sales and operational teams to deliver on this.
• Overhead cost analysis and management against budget.
• Supporting with the annual audit

Skills you will need

• Active studier of ACCA or CIMA
• Good commercial acumen
• Analytically minded
• Able to communicate with non finance people
• Being inquisitive and wanting to understand the why
