Our client, a dynamic company that backs insurance entrepreneurs around the world are expanding across the UK and Europe, providing capital, underwriting capacity, and strategic direction to companies. As a result of this growth they are seeking an Assistant Management Accountant who is eager to make an impact and elevate their career in a role that transcends traditional accounting tasks.

This is a permanent position paying £45,000 - £50,000 + hybrid working, annual bonus & annual company away trips.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Own daily accounting and bookkeeping processes including inputting supplier invoices, expenses, and sales invoices.
  • Run weekly payment cycles and perform bank reconciliations.
  • Support the payroll process and administer employee benefits while maintaining cost tracking.
  • Maintain accurate creditor and debtor records; follow up on outstanding debts.
  • Prepare and issue recharge invoices.
  • Assist in producing timely and insightful monthly management reports.
  • Assist with audit preparation, budgeting, and cash flow forecasting.
  • Handle FCA and VAT returns and assist with new entity incorporations and statutory requirements.
  • Support transactional HR administration in collaboration with the People team.
  • Engage in ad hoc projects and support continuous improvements to systems and processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • AAT qualified or part-qualified CA/ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a finance/accounting role.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and excellent time management.
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial systems; comfortable with PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment.
  • Experience or interest in HR and benefits is advantageous.
  • A strong desire to grow and make a significant impact within a high-performing team.
