Assistant Finance Manager - £48,000 - £55,000 per year - West End, London - Hybrid

FryerMiles are delighted to be partnering with growing fintech firm in the West End to recruit an Assistant Finance Manager. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, The successful candidate will play a key role within the finance team, supporting across all finance activities, assisting with cashflow, budgeting, and treasury operations, managing ledgers and reconciliations, and contributing to month end reporting, variance analysis, and stakeholder reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting the Financial Controller across all finance activities of the business
• Preparing the annual budget, monitoring performance against budget, and analysing variances
• Assisting with cashflow management and preparing cashflow forecasts
• Managing the month end close process
• Preparing internal and external reports for lenders, senior management, and other stakeholders
• Overseeing purchase ledger, sales ledger, and general ledger functions
• Reviewing accruals and prepayments
• Preparing VAT returns and ensuring compliance
• Maintaining and supervising the fixed asset register
• Assisting with treasury operations and general banking activities including monthly reconciliations
• Undertaking ad hoc financial modelling as required

Candidate Requirements:

• AAT qualified or studying towards ACA, ACCA, or CIMA (preferred) with A Levels as a minimum
• Minimum 4 years' experience in a similar role, ideally within financial services though not essential
• Strong IT skills with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Experience with Sage Accounts and Sage Payroll desirable
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated, driven, confident, and a strong team player
• Able to work under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines
