Assistant Finance ManagerLocation: HuddersfieldSalary: £30,000 - £32,000 per annum

Joining a close-knit finance team, you will report directly to an experienced and supportive Finance Manager who is passionate about mentoring and developing her team. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and motivated individual looking to grow their career in a dynamic and hands-on finance role.

The ideal candidate will be well-organised, a strong communicator, and confident building relationships with both clients and colleagues. AAT-qualified or studying towards ACCA/CIMA would be advantageous. You must have previous experience with month-end processes and possess strong Excel skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the sales and purchase ledger functions

• Assist with preparation of monthly management accounts

• Produce daily cash flow reports

• Process monthly journals, accruals, and prepayments

• Support the year-end audit process

• Conduct credit checks and agree credit limits

• Communicate with suppliers and customers effectively

• Submit VAT returns (UK and French)

• Assist the Head of Finance with daily tasks and ad hoc projects

• Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual surveys

• Respond to finance-related queries as required
