About UCH Logistics:We’re a fast-growing, Heathrow-based specialist in time-critical and high-value airfreight logistics. Our team is built on reliability, innovation, and exceptional service, trusted by some of the biggest names in freight forwarding. As part of our strategic growth, we’re looking for a commercially driven Assistant Business Development Manager to help expand our client base and drive revenue.

The Role - This Is Not an Entry-Level Sales Position:We’re seeking a motivated sales professional with proven experience in airfreight or freight forwarding. You’ll support and work alongside the Business Development Manager to grow key accounts, win new business, and strengthen our market presence — especially across Heathrow and the surrounding area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, target, and close new airfreight business opportunities
  • Manage and grow existing accounts with a consultative, solutions-focused approach
  • Use Salesforce to track leads, pipeline activity, and customer interactions
  • Collaborate on strategic plans and commercial campaigns to meet growth targets
  • Run promotional campaigns and enhance brand visibility through social media
  • Research market trends and competitor activity to identify gaps and opportunities

Who We’re Looking For:You’ll need both sales and industry experience to hit the ground running. Please do not apply unless you meet these core requirements:

  • At least 3 years of B2B sales experience - ideally in a logistics or freight forwarding environment
  • Airfreight industry experience is essential - you must understand the terminology, time pressures, and client expectations
  • Proven track record of hitting or exceeding revenue targets
  • Confident user of CRM platforms - Salesforce experience is a strong plus
  • Great communication skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset
  • Comfortable managing your own pipeline and working with autonomy
