Axon Moore are partnering with a leading, investment-backed business based in Wilmslow to recruit an Accounts Assistant on a permanent basis. We've worked closely with this business for a number of years and have seen first-hand the opportunities for growth, development, and progression within their finance team.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and fast-moving business in an exciting industry. The company is growing rapidly, and this role has clear progression into a Management Accountant position in the future.About the RoleThis role will suit someone inquisitive and eager to learn, ideally with a solid grounding in accounts payable and transactional finance, who wants to broaden their experience into month-end and reporting work. You’ll be working as part of a small, supportive team and gain exposure across the full finance function.Main duties:
  • Organising and managing payment runs
  • Ensuring strong internal controls and authorisation processes
  • Supplier reconciliations and handling supplier queries
  • Monitoring cost trackers to ensure goods have been received
  • Maintaining accurate vendor records and documentation
  • Providing basic analysis of AP balances and payment data
  • Supporting the team with cash flow forecasting
  • Assisting with preparation of weekly and monthly sales reports
  • Month-end support: journal postings, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Involvement in stock reporting and analysis
Individual specification:
  • Experience in an accounts assistant, AP, or transactional finance role
  • Strong Excel skills and a good attention to detail
  • A team player who’s also confident managing their own workload
  • Enthusiastic about learning and growing into broader finance duties
  • Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment
