Assistant Accountant - Investigo : Job Details

Investigo are delighted to be partnering with an excellent organisation based in Weybridge, Surrey, who are currently looking to recruit an interim Assistant Accountant to join them for a period of 3 - 6 months due to an internal promotion.

The Assistant Accountant provides a key role in the Finance team and would be responsible for performing day-to-day finance operations for assigned entities, including the accounts payable process, cash management and account reconciliations.

Further key responsibilities of this Assistant Accountant role will include:

• End-to-end management of the accounts payable process for assigned legal entities, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions
• Day-to-day management of legal entity bank accounts and accurate processing of payments and employee expenses
• Accurate journal data entry, including assets, liabilities and expenses, verifying and maintaining proper documentation
• Weekly cash forecasting and monitoring
• Maintenance of balance sheet accounts, preparing reconciliations and addressing any issues, ensuring management accounts are accurate
• Providing information and support to other internal departments and external auditors as the need arises

We would love to speak to immediately available (or candidates available soon) with the following skillset:

• AAT qualified or equivalent
• Proficiency in Excel and preferably, SAP
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective time management and record-keeping skills, and ability to multi-task to meet financial deadlines
• Ability to apply problem-solving skills to identify and correct accounting discrepancies

This role is being offered initially on an interim basis for 3 - 6 months with a day rate or circa £200 - £225 a day. The role would be based predominantly on site in Weybridge with flexibility where required.
