What will you do as an Assistant Accountant?

• Assist with month-end close, including journals, accruals, and prepayments
• Reconcile bank, credit card, and control accounts
• Assist with management accounts and reporting packs
• Support cash flow forecasting and budget monitoring
• Oversee purchase and sales ledger processes where needed
• Help improve internal financial controls and procedures
• Manage a small finance team

What do you need as an Assistant Accountant?

• AAT qualified or studying towards ACCA/CIMA (support may be offered)
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles and transactional finance
• Strong Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, basic reporting)
• Proactive, hands-on, and adaptable — SME mindset essential!
