Assistant Accountant - Elevation Recruitment Group : Job Details

Key Responsibilities:

• Take full ownership of the sales ledger process
• Ensure timely and accurate invoicing
• Conduct weekly variance analysis between actual and forecasted revenue
• Oversee and maintain the semi-automated purchase ledger system
• Ensure accurate invoice processing and reconciliation
• Lead credit control activities and maintain aged debt KPIs
• Deliver weekly aged debtor reports to internal teams
• Perform daily bank reconciliations across multiple accounts
• Maintain detailed and accurate transaction records
• Assist in preparing Monthly MI packs with a 3-day close cycle
• Post journals and help ensure report accuracy
• Support analytical reviews and variance analysis
• Complete timely balance sheet reconciliations
• Support VAT returns and respond to ONS questionnaires
• Assist with cash flow forecasting and reconciliation
• Deliver ad-hoc financial analysis and insights to the Group FC

What We’re Looking For:

• Currently studying AAT Level 3 or 4
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Intermediate Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, v-lookups)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive mindset and eagerness to develop professionally
