Assistant Accountant - AD Finance : Job Details

Alexander Daniels are working with a leading UK-based manufacturing business who are currently seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their finance team within a busy and fast paced environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to take ownership of their role and for someone who wants to make a real genuine impact. This is a varied role offering broad exposure across different areas of accounting, providing an excellent opportunity to learn and grow within a dynamic finance environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial analysis and data processing in line with month-end and reporting cycles

• Weekly performance reporting across manufacturing sites, in collaboration with on-site finance teams

• Preparation and posting of accruals, prepayments, and other adjustment journals

• Production of period-end management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations

• Providing cover and support for colleagues across the finance function

Essential:

• Actively studying towards a recognised accounting qualification (CIMA or ACCA)

• Adaptable, with a proactive mindset and resilience in a fast-moving environment

• Strong verbal communication skills and confidence in presenting financial data clearly

• Competent Excel user; familiarity with macros is a bonus but not required
