Are you detail-oriented, organised, and ready to support a growing business that’s helping the environment? We’re looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a dynamic team in this sector.

Our client creates cleaner, more sustainable communities. As a Finance Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in keeping their operations running smoothly by ensuring their financial processes are accurate, efficient, and compliant.

You’ll work closely with the finance and operations teams, gaining hands-on experience in everything from invoicing and reconciliations to reporting.

This is more than just a numbers job. You’ll be:

•    Processing invoices and managing supplier accounts•    Supporting month-end reporting and financial analysis•    Helping track costs related to vehicles, fuel, and recycling•    Working with teams across the business to ensure accurate billing•    Playing a key role in our mission to reduce waste and improve efficiency

Key requirements •    Proven experience in an accounts assistant or similar role, ideally within the construction sector•    Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices•    High degree of numeracy / confidence in working with numbers•    Experience in bookkeeping and/or purchase ledger highly desirable•    Familiarity with accounting software (company uses software tailored to the construction industry)•    Proficient in use of Microsoft Excel•    Strong attention to detail and accuracy and good organisational skills•    Excellent communication skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders•    Ability to work independently and meet deadlines while maintaining quality output•    Knowledge of CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) is highly desirable•    AAT qualification (or working towards) is advantageous (or part qualified ACCA/CIMA)
