I am recruiting an Assistant Accountant for a business in North Leicester. This is a role suited to someone who is currently studying a finance qualification who is seeking development and growth in their next role.

Description

The Assistant Accountant's duties will include but are not limited to:

• Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department.
• Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements.
• Reconcile accounts in a timely manner.
• Quarterly VAT returns
• Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas.
• Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws.

Profile

A successful Assistant Accountant should have:

• A part qualification in ACCA/CIMA/ACA
• Be committed to continuous professional development.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and other accounting software.
• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
