Assistant Accountant

Our client, a prestigious manufacturer and retailer of high quality products, is looking for a skilled Assistant Accountant to join their team.

Your main areas of focus will be management reporting, stock accounting and product costings.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparation of the period end reporting pack focusing on sales, production, stock and supply chain.
• Identifying key trends and tracking direct and indirect production costs.
• Assisting the Inventory Controller with maintaining accuracy of costing data, particularly around bills of material.
• Focus on stock valuation and calculation of provisions for period end reporting.
• Assisting with product pricing, both ad hoc and bulk seasonal pricing.
• Business partnering with key internal customers giving timely advice.
• Assisting with monitoring of formalised controls.

Ideally you will have previous stock accounting or product costing experience. You will have excellent analytical capabilities, strong planning skills and be highly organised with good communication and organisation skills.
