My client based in Wolverhampton is looking for an Experienced Assistant Accountant to join their team due to growth within the business. This is a role based within the Public Sector and the organisation supports families across Wolverhampton and surrounding areas.
This role is a FTC, 30 hours a week, hybrid, start time 9:00am-5pm (flexible) 30 minutes for Lunch.

The role of the Assistant Accountant:
Reporting to the Finance Manager your role will encompass both transactional finance tasks alongside management information duties whilst supporting the production of the Management Accounts. You be required to work across both Xero accounts package and Sage50 payroll and work with operational colleagues to ensure appropriate controls are applied in the completion of all financial transactions. You will need to be able to use Excel intermediate level and Microsoft office applications.
This would suit a candidate who is looking for a role that offers a varied workload in a busy and growing business. Ideally you will be AAT qualified or studying towards qualification and have experience working in a finance department in a small to medium size company covering all aspects of finance and payroll.
The ideal candidate will need a minimum of 2 years of experience within a Finance department, have used Sage 50 to run payroll, process accounts using Xero and confidently run end of month processes. You must be organised and be able to help team members when required.
