Assistant Accountant Role

NC Associates are working with a forward thinking and market leading PE backed growing organisation to assist in recruiting a Assistant Accountant. My client is looking for a confident and driven Assistant Accountant who can help support the Management Accountants and senior finance team. As a Assistant Accountant you will have lots of autonomy and support to help build on your existing experience. The business has grown considerably and is likely to grow even more over the next 12 months with further acquisitions planned within the group.

Assistant Accountant Responsibilities

• Day to day bookkeeping
• Daily bank account postings
• Management account preparation of Holding Companies, posting of monthly journals such as accruals and prepayments
• Assisting finance manager and management accounts in monthly P&L reporting and analysis
• Bank reconciliations on a weekly/monthly basis
• Supporting on the year end audit, resolving queries with accompanying evidence etc
• Assist the Management Accountant and the wider team with ad-hoc tasks
• Assistance with CIS and VAT returns
• Assistance with cash sweeping

Assistant Accountant Experience Required

• AAT part qualified or newly qualified / finance graduate
• Looking to study CIMA/ACCA
• Transactional accounting experience
• Proficiency in Excel (v look ups & pivot tables).
• Excellent data entry and organisational skills.
• Strong attention to detail
• An enthusiastic and positive approach to tasks and duties with a desire to develop within an Accountancy career
