Our client, a growing European investment manager, is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their Jersey-based finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with accounting experience in practice or industry who is looking to gain broad exposure across corporate accounting, fund reporting, and financial projects, while working closely with senior stakeholders during a period of expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of monthly management accounts, budgets, and cash flow forecasts.
- Assist with consolidation adjustments for group companies.
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records and process purchase invoices.
- Prepare and issue invoices to related parties and external entities.
- Manage payment processes, including fund recharge settlements.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and oversee cash flow management.
- Support year end audits, including preparation of audit files and responses to queries.
- Prepare board minutes and distribution notices.
- Contribute to finance related projects and support new business initiatives.
Requirements
- Knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant reporting standards.
- Strong Excel skills, NetSuite experience a plus.
- Previous experience in a financial or accounting role is advantageous.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proactive, solutions-oriented, and confident engaging with stakeholders.
