Assembly/Fitter - Elevation Recruitment Group : Job Details

Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working on behalf of a Large manufacturer to recruit an Assembly/Fitter to work in a busy manufacturing environment based in Sherburn in Elmet. 

Role: Assembly Fitter Shift Pattern: Monday to Thursday 7.15-4.30, Friday 7.15-12.15Location: Sherburn in ElmetHourly Rate: Competitive 

Responsibilities:

• Assembly and Fitting: Assemble, fit, and test industrial chain components using hand tools, power tools, and machinery to meet precise technical specifications.
• Quality Control: Inspect components and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and comply with engineering drawings and tolerances.
• Machine Operation: Operate and maintain production machinery, including presses, cutting tools, and automated assembly equipment, ensuring safe and efficient use.
• Material Handling: Prepare and handle raw materials, ensuring correct storage and stock management in line with company procedures.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues, including supervisors, engineers, and quality assurance teams, to achieve production targets and resolve issues.
• Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to all workplace health and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe working practices.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute ideas to improve production processes, efficiency, and product quality.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of production outputs, machine maintenance, and quality checks.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or production environment, preferably within engineering or metalwork.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and basic machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and precision.
• Good manual dexterity and physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks and occasional heavy lifting (up to 25kg, in line with manual handling regulations).
