The School hiring a Behaviour Support Worker:

The school in Bracknell looking to hire a Behaviour Support Worker is highly regarded in the area as well as their field. They are looking for a committed individual who will come in with a positive and enthusiastic attitude to motivate and uplift their students.

The role as a Behaviour Support Worker:

Your day to day role as a Behaviour Support Worker will revolve around supporting the students in the classroom. You will assist them with their school work and ensure they have all the right tools to achieve success in the classroom.

Many of these students have struggles with their behaviour in the classroom. This is primarily due to stress, anxiety and depression stemming from childhood trauma. These students need an individual who will come in with a positive attitude and support them with processing and regulating their emotions.

You will support the class teacher with general classroom duties, such as gathering materials for lessons and preparing the learning environment for students. You may also have the opportunity to support students either on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.

Some of these children will have educational healthcare plans and will need extra support, so you will need to adapt your approach to fit the needs of each child. Attitude is most important as you will be setting a good example for these students. Ideally you will have some experience or background working with children, but that is not essential.

Graduates are welcome to apply, as well as those with a background in sports, art, music or drama.

This is a wonderful opportunity for those individuals who are looking as pursuing a career in education, counselling or psychology, as this will give you hands on experience in the classroom as well as working with vulnerable children.
