Contract: Full time

Rate: £90-£110 per day

Setting: Secondary

Remedy Education are on a hunt for a superb Autism Teaching Assistant to support a well-run year 4 class in a SEN primary school. Many of the children have Autism (ASD) and have complex needs.

The ideal Autism Teaching Assistant:

• Experience working with students with behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational or special education setting.
• Knowledge of behaviour management techniques, positive reinforcement strategies, and de-escalation methods.
• Ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding.

Autism Teaching Assistant Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of SEND and learning barriers.
• Some knowledge of strategies in working with young people with challenging behaviours.
• Safeguarding experience.
• Experience of working directly with young people in an education or training environment, supporting the learning of students.
