Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Art Teacher to join our vibrant secondary school in Bury St Edmunds for a full-time maternity cover position. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Art to students from Year 7 to Year 11, including GCSE Art classes. This role requires a teacher who holds QTS or QTLS and has proven experience in delivering high-quality Art education at the secondary level.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging Art lessons to students in Year 7 - Year 11.
• Prepare students for GCSE Art examinations, ensuring they achieve their full potential.
• Foster a creative and inclusive classroom environment.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Art curriculum.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) preferred.
• Experience teaching GCSE Art.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
