Full Time - Permanent

Hours - 8:30 am - 16:30 (14:30 pm Friday Finish)

Our client is a rated "Outstanding" OFSTED private training company who work within 10 sectors, across 250 different companies. Their simple yet effective approach to bridging the skills gap in the country focuses on building strong relationships with their clients and new employers. They aim to ensure employers get access to programmes that deliver them the right type of apprentices, the right upskilling, and the specialist assistants they need to improve quality or business systems. With various sites around Birmingham and beyond, they have established themselves as one of the best training providers in the Midlands. The students enrolled with the company are very engaged in their learning, and work hard in any placement they find themselves in.

The role:

Please note, that this position is not a typical recruitment role. Our client is looking for someone who has experience working within an Apprenticeship team, who has experience promoting and raising the profile of apprenticeship opportunities to Schools, Colleges or other external companies.

Duties of the position:

• Establish working relationships with key personnel in schools and colleges across the West Midlands, Staffordshire and Shropshire
• Undertake activities that result in students being placed into apprenticeship programmes - including marketing, running event open days, attending career events, parents evenings, and supporting schools with career activities
• Market open days and school STEM project events
• Raise awareness of the apprenticeship programmes
• Generate and maintain a bank of candidates/students
• All social media and marketing, building on existing profiles
• Work alongside the recruitment team to source candidates in to company programmes
• Review and administrate recruitment platforms and websites - promoting apprenticeship vacancies
• Interviewing potential candidates for vacancies
• Up-to-date knowledge of all apprenticeship offerings

What you need:

• To be confident using IT systems and processes like MS Office Package
• A minimum level 2 in English and Maths
• Must have a demonstrational understanding of apprenticeship recruitment - including the National Apprenticeship Service vacancy service
• Must be learner-focused
• Experience engaging with the public, and being able to represent the company at external events
• Driving License - to travel across sites when required
• Decision-making, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
• Interpersonal skills and the ability to work part as a team
