Manchester City Council are looking for a dedicated Anti-Social Behaviour Support Officer to join our team for a four-month period. This role is crucial in delivering high-quality services through detailed technical knowledge of anti-social behaviour, enforcement of standards, and regulation of community activity. The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing the quality of the local environment and supporting the Council’s statutory enforcement obligations.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide high-quality, customer-focused operational support to improve the local environment, generating awareness of local services.
- Engage and empower community members to access services and encourage involvement in activities that promote positive action.
- Deal effectively with requests within designated timescales, maintaining accurate records of all relevant investigations, inspections, and meetings.
- Provide technical advice on the interpretation and enforcement of relevant guidelines to all stakeholders.
- Assist in the review and translation of statutory guidelines.
- Work closely with key stakeholders to develop and maintain effective partnerships and coordinated working, ensuring effective community and member engagement.
- Ensure complex information is interpreted to a high standard and solutions are communicated to relevant parties in a timely manner.
- May be required to undertake management duties, including direct line management or matrix management of a virtual team.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Detailed technical knowledge relating to anti-social behaviour and regulatory processes.
- Experience in compliance, community engagement, and the enforcement of standards.
- Ability to provide quality advice and support effective delivery of services.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with various departments and external bodies.
- Capability to handle complex information and provide timely solutions.
- Personal commitment to continuous self-development and service improvement.
- A valid Enhanced DBS on the update service is required.
