Air Import Clerk - Right Now Group : Job Details

Right Now Group is working with a well-established logistics company near London Heathrow, providing multimodal freight forwarding services.

Role Overview - Air Import Operator:Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Air Import Operator with around 18months experience to join their team. In this full-time, on-site role, the successful candidate will manage the import air freight process, ensuring timely and compliant movement of goods. This position requires strong organisational skills, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to handle both routine operations and urgent, high-priority shipments.

Key Responsibilities - Air Import Operator:

• Manage the day-to-day import air freight operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and timely delivery of goods.

• Handle all aspects of air import shipments, including booking, documentation (Airway Bills), customs clearance, and cargo tracking.

• Communicate with airlines, ground handlers, customs brokers, and overseas agents to ensure smooth shipment delivery.

• Negotiate rates with air carriers to ensure cost-effective solutions for clients.

• Maintain accurate records and documentation for all import shipments

Key Requirements - Air Import Operator:

• Proven experience in air import operations

• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

• Experience in the logistics sector, preferably with a focus on air imports.

Salary: £28,000-£32,000Location: FelthamShift: Mon-Fri (9am-5:30pm)
