Air Freight Operator - Bradford - Hawk 3 Talent Solutions : Job Details

As an Air Freight Operator you will have experience in both exports and imports, to receive bookings from customs and agents alike, to complete all import / export requirements including customs clearance, along with all other processes involved.

Location: Bradford

Hours of work: 8.30am – 5.00pm Monday to Friday (some flexibility required)

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience 

Key Responsibilities:

• Predominantly Air Freight import / export role – air knowledge also advantageous.
• Receiving bookings from customers.
• Raising files within the software system.
• Preparation of collection notes and booking confirmations
• Liaising with shipping lines and carriers.
• Checking vessel departure dates.
• Maintaining customer spreadsheets where required.
• Ensuring correct documentation is presented and obtained.
• Raising invoices to customers and agents.
• File queries.

Experience, attributes & skills sought:

• Knowledge of the Air Freight forwarding industry –multi-modal advantageous
• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Package – Word, Excel, Powerpoint
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Good team player
• Ability to work to strict deadlines
• Good organisational skills
• Flexible and adaptable
