Reed is thrilled to be partnering with a proud, family-run fabrications business in Harrogate to recruit a dynamic and detail-driven Administrator for a newly created role. This role is packed with variety. You’ll be managing technical drawings, coordinating deliveries, supporting internal teams, and being the go-to person for all things admin. You’ll be the backbone of the business, directly supporting engineers, project managers, and directors. It’s a chance to join a close-knit team that genuinely cares about what they do and each other, with room to grow and shape the role as the business evolves.
Key Responsibilities:
- Upload and download drawings across multiple portals/websites
- Monitor emails for drawing updates, calculations, comments, and actions
- Convert files, rename, and save in correct folders
- Maintain and update the drawings register
- Print and distribute drawings internally
- Carry out additional drawing-related admin tasks
- Update internal enquiry spreadsheets
- Manage deliveries and scan/save delivery notes to the job tracker
- Raise purchase orders for materials and consumables
- Save and organise test certificates
- Update operational and maintenance manuals
- Create new contract folders and subfolders
- Greet and assist visitors
- Answer incoming calls and handle enquiries
- Manage post and occasional errands (mileage paid)
- Update holiday spreadsheets
- Scan and save supplier order acknowledgements
- Support directors with ad hoc admin tasks
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong written, verbal, and numerical skills
- Confident with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Detail-oriented with a proactive mindset
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic
- Friendly, approachable, and a true team player
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
