Role: Administrator - Accounts team

Salary: £28,000

Hours: Office based. Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week, paid lunch break.

Location: Melton Mowbray LE14 Because the office is in quite a remote spot, having your own transport is a must.

Hours: 8-4 Monday to Friday 100% office based 

A  fourth-generation, family-run business in the recycling and waste management industry – proud of their roots and even more excited about where they’re headed. As they continue to grow, they are looking to add a new Administrator to our small (but mighty!) team of four.

This role is primarily focused on data administration, with some basic accounts tasks included. No prior accounting experience is necessary, as any accounts duties and the use of our bespoke systems with use of Xero, it will be fully taught on the job through in-house training. 

We’re looking for someone detail-oriented Administrator who is eager to learn, not necessarily an accounting expert.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting the day-to-day admin needs of our Waste Management office
  • Interpreting waste collection orders, processing data, and helping with reporting
  • Entering info into our custom database and Xero accounting software
  • Communicating with clients, suppliers, and waste partners (mostly by email, sometimes by phone)
  • Helping keep things running smoothly behind the scenes – from customer service to basic accounts tasks
  • Working closely with our Financial Director and supporting the two company Directors
  • Assisting with compliance, accreditations, and other bits that help us stay on top of industry standards

What we’re looking for:

  • Someone comfortable with Microsoft Office (especially Outlook, Excel, and Word)
  • Good attention to detail and decent typing/data entry speed
  • A proactive attitude – we love ideas that help make things more efficient
  • A team player who’s happy juggling a variety of tasks in a busy but friendly environment
