Job Purpose:
The Accounts Administrator will play a key role in supporting the finance team by managing daily accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with internal and external financial procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process supplier invoices, purchase orders, and staff expenses
- Maintain and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
- Perform bank reconciliations and monitor daily cash flow
- Assist with month-end and year-end financial reporting
- Prepare and submit VAT returns and other statutory filings
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to resolve queries
- Support payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements
- Assist with audits and financial compliance checks
- Provide general administrative support to the finance team
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an accounts or finance administration role
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks)
- Strong Excel skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- AAT qualification or working towards (preferred)
