Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Construction Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in administrative support within the construction industry, specifically in commercial fit-out projects, with exposure to estimating processes. This role will involve supporting project managers, estimators, and other team members to ensure seamless project delivery and efficient office operations.
Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative support for commercial fit-out projects, including preparing and managing project documentation such as contracts, schedules, and submittals.
Assist the estimating team with preparing bid documents, cost breakdowns, and quantity takeoffs.
Maintain and update project management systems, ensuring accurate records of correspondence, drawings, and specifications.
Coordinate meetings, track project milestones, and liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients as required.
Prepare reports, presentations, and other materials for project updates and client meetings.
Monitor project budgets and timelines, escalating potential issues to project managers.
Handle general office duties, including answering inquiries, managing emails, and ordering materials.
Ensure compliance with company procedures and industry standards, particularly in relation to commercial fit-out regulations.
Qualifications
Experience: At least 1-2 years of administrative experience in the construction industry, with a focus on commercial fit-out or refurbishment projects.
Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and industry-standard software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, or similar).
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work collaboratively and independently with a high level of attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of construction and fit-out terminology, processes, and best practices.
Familiarity with project scheduling tools or cost management systems.
