Administration Coordinator (Admissions Focus) - Maternity CoverBlackburn | 12-Month Fixed Term Contract | 8:30AM-5:00PM£28,000 per annum + excellent benefitsAdele Carr Recruitment is working exclusively with a respected and well-established organisation in Blackburn to recruit a proactive and professional Administration Coordinator to support a busy admissions function on a 12-month maternity cover contract.This is a varied and people-focused role where you'll provide essential administrative support while being the first point of contact for prospective families. The position offers a rare opportunity to join a close-knit, supportive team in a well-run and rewarding working environment, with the potential for a permanent opportunity due to internal redeployment.Salary and Benefits:

  • £28,000 per annum
  • 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays

What will be expected of you:

  • Manage incoming enquiries by phone, email, and face-to-face
  • Coordinate the full admissions process from first contact to enrolment
  • Organise school visits, taster days, and open events
  • Liaise confidently with internal departments and external stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate records and generate regular reports using internal systems
  • Support wider administrative tasks and ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new pupils
  • Assist with documentation, data tracking, and communications throughout the admissions journey

What we are looking for:

  • Strong administrative background, ideally with experience in customer-facing environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Friendly and professional manner, confident in dealing with parents and staff
  • Highly organised with good attention to detail
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and database systems
  • Proactive, dependable, and calm under pressure
  • GCSE English Grade C or above (Grade 4 or higher)
  • Experience in education or admissions is helpful but not essential
