ADHD Teaching Assistant

A Primary School in East London are searching for an ADHD Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a boy in Year 4 with ADHD. He is very high level, capable individual but requires additional support and a slightly altered curriculum to keep him on track. As part of your role, you will work closely with an Educational Psychologist, SENCO, Class Teacher, and other external agencies to best support this young pupil.

• ADHD Teaching Assistant
• Start Date: 7th May 2024
• Working 1:1 with a child in a Year 4 class
• Full Time, Long Term (Full Academic Year)
• £95-105 (PAYE/Umbrella)
• Excellent training & support

Ideal Candidate:

• Supervising and supporting pupils
• Assisting in the development of appropriate resources, schemes of work and teaching strategies
• Supporting with behaviour management
• Undertaking structured and agreed learning activities/teaching programmes, adjusting activities to ensure achievement of learning goals
• Assisting with the supervision of children out of lesson times, such as playtime and lunchtime duty
• Establishing good relationships with children, acting as a role model
• Promoting the inclusion and acceptance of all children, supporting difference and ensuring that all have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop.
