Butler Rose, public practice is delighted to be supporting one of our Top-Ranking clients based in Shrewsbury. You will manage the preparation of client accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and deadlines. You may oversee junior staff, review work, and handle complex financial tasks like finalising accounts and tax computations ready for review. Your role ensures high-quality service delivery and supports client satisfaction.

Role Requirements:

• Set budgets and monitor them against ongoing job progress and report results to manager, communicate overruns/additional services taking corrective action when appropriate and necessary.
• Manage flexible working of self and assistants based around client needs and business deadlines.
• Demonstrate ability to secure opportunities for Azets to add value to clients.
• Take pride in getting the job done fully and well.
• Is able to deal with challenging client feedback.
• Provides support, guidance and training to all team members and highlight areas of weakness through timely feedback.
• Has strong sector knowledge, however is aware of when to escalate more complex technical queries.

Personal Requirements -

• Studying towards or already achieved an accountancy qualification or qualified by experience (e.g. AAT/ACA/ACCA/CA).
• Able to prepare CT61 under instruction.
• Understand different disclosure requirements under FRS105, 102 (1a).
• Aware of PSA arrangement.
• Can calculate medium risk deferred tax calculations.
• Calculate WIP valuations in relation to source documents and accounting policies.
