Accounts Receivable Manager – Global Retail BrandLocation: LondonSalary: Up to £60,000Hybrid: 2–3 days office-based About the CompanyOur client is a global retail powerhouse, home to some of the most iconic brands in the beauty retail space. As they scale, they’re looking for a hands-on, commercially focused AR Manager to take full ownership of the function and lead both an internal and overseas team. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in AR—ideally within retail or FMCG—paired with strong systems knowledge, audit readiness, and a track record of managing complex deductions, billbacks, and global transaction flows. ResponsibilitiesLead the day-to-day AR operations, ensuring timely and accurate collection of outstanding debts
- Manage and develop an internal AR team, while overseeing performance of an offshore BPO team
- Ensure AR records are accurate, compliant, and aligned with business policies and audit standards
- Handle high volumes of transactions, including deductions, billbacks, and dispute resolution
- Liaise with auditors, preparing necessary documentation and responding to all audit queries
- Track and reconcile data between in-house ERP systems and outsourced partners
- Monitor key KPIs across returns, refunds, and collections performance—escalating issues as needed
- Drive initiatives to reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and improve cash flow
- Oversee AR system implementations and upgrades to ensure seamless integration
- Work cross-functionally with finance, commercial, sales, and customer service teams
- Support continuous process improvement and contribute to overall finance transformation
Key Skills & Experience
- 10+ years’ experience in Accounts Receivable or similar finance roles, ideally within retail or FMCG
- Proven leadership of both in-house and offshore teams across multiple regions
- French language skills a bonus (to support French retail partners) or another European language
- Strong Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
- Deep understanding of deductions, billbacks, and dispute resolution processes
- Track record of reducing DSO and driving improvements in cash flow
- Experience supporting audits and leading system implementations
- Experience managing BPOs or outsourced teams highly valued
- Highly organised, analytical, and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Occasional international travel may be required to support and manage offshore teams
Preferred
- Experience in global AR operations and training team members
- Tech-savvy with the ability to adapt to new financial systems quickly
- Background in retail or high-volume transactional environments

- CICM qualified (preferred)
