Accounts Receivable Assistant

3-6 Month Contract | Woking (3 Days On-Site)

£32,000–£34,000 per annum (Equivalent hourly rate inside IR35)

We’re working with an established and fast-growing facilities provider known nationally as a leader in their niche. They’re currently seeking an Accounts Receivable Assistant to join their finance team during a busy period of financial activity and reporting. This is a varied and hands-on role suited to a detail-driven finance professional with transactional experience and a solid grounding in accounting processes.

Based in Woking, this is an on-site role (3 days per week) with close-by parking and the opportunity to work within a dynamic and innovative environment. The contract is offered on a 3-6 month basis with an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records of daily transactions and reconcile takings within spreadsheets.
  • Generate and distribute client invoices via the finance platform.
  • Raise and log credit adjustments when required, ensuring correct authorisation is obtained.
  • Review various service and charges, identifying and resolving any mismatches.
  • Contribute to the recognition of revenue by compiling sales information for month-end processes.
  • Handle queries from customers, delivering timely and professional responses.
  • Work closely with colleagues across departments to strengthen client service delivery.
  • Share updates and financial information with the management reporting team on a regular basis.
  • Provide general support to the wider finance function, including assisting with audit sampling and other one-off tasks as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a similar finance or accounts administration role
  • Solid understanding of accounts receivables and payment processes
  • Proficiency with large complex finance systems and Microsoft Excel
  • High attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Excellent organisational, time management and communication skills
