Accounts Receivable Associate

• Location: Hoddesdon
• Job Type: Full-time - Hybrid working
• Salary: £32,000 - £36,000

We are currently recruiting for an Accounts Receivable Associate to join a dynamic finance team. This role is essential for supporting the annual setting of rents and service charges, ensuring data accuracy, and compliance with relevant legislation. The ideal candidate will be part-qualified or have significant experience in accounting, with strong analytical skills and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Day-to-Day of the Role:

• Support the Financial Accounting Manager in setting annual rents and service charges.
• Ensure accurate estimation and reconciliation of service charges for existing and new developments.
• Prepare annual actual service charges for tenants and leaseholders.
• Ensure compliance with legislation and regulations in rent and service charge settings.
• Develop effective relationships with internal teams and external managing agents.
• Daily posting of rent payments and sales ledger administration.
• Complete monthly reconciliations of rechargeable repairs and rent control accounts.
• Occasionally bank cash and cheques and provide cover for the Cash and Bank Reconciliation Officer.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Part-qualified or qualified by experience in accounting.
• Knowledge of routine accounting and Accounts Receivable processes.
• Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage deadlines.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Understanding of VAT rules and Accounts Receivable processes.
